Summer Madness – Momentum

When: Friday night  January 15^th  to Monday afternoon  January 18^th    2010 

Where:  Alexandra Park Conference Centre, Alexandra Headlands

Who:  For people in grade 8 in 2010 through to people who have just finished high school in 2009, their leaders, mentors, supporters and or ministry agents

How: Young people participate as groups from their local church with their own leadership team, or as small groups with a mentor or parent from the church, or if there are only one or two young people connected to your church, they can still be involved by being “adopted” by another youth group. If you are fortunate enough to have spare young adults from your church who are not needed to look after your group, we would love them to serve the over all camp as hosts. They will have their own small group study sessions and other opportunities for growth

Why: builds momentum for your local youth ministry into the new year and beyond. forms a foundation for Youth Ministry in the UCA across the state. It will connect your church in to a stream of resources and support as a part of The Growing Apostles state wide movement. It can become part of a pattern of tapping in to wider church events such as N.C.Y.C. and building these wider church experiences in to your strategic plan for your local Youth Ministry.

* Some groups attend the camp and extend their time together at the coast or by being hosted by other Church youth groups down in the South East Corner. They make a week of it together. That’s a great option if your leaders can take the extra time off.
